This unconscious effect is powerful for both sexes. There is literally chemistry between men and women. Men exposed to estrous women show a spike in their testosterone level. This odor variability is no different from various monkey experiments that detail excitement on men when exposed to ovulation 'pheromones'. Humans can also unconsciously detect excitable odors. Moreover, women's physical attractiveness changes during ovulation. Dr. Miller notes that quality of voice of women, skin quality, and body shape ratio also changes during the ovulation timetable.
